HOUSTON — A woman is suing her home builder and flooring suppliers claiming her specialized hardwood Brazilian flooring is defective.

Maria Lucia Santos Pompeu Brasil filed a complaint  April 1 in the Harris County District Court against Calidad Builders LLC, Galleher LLC and Noble Floors LLC doing business as Regal Floor Coverings alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, breach of warranty, breach of contract and negligence.

Brasil hired Calidad on Nov. 16, 2016 to build her home in Houston and purchased specialized hardwood Brazilian flooring for the home from Regal Floor Coverings. She alleges that in January of 2018, she noticed hairline scratches and dents in the flooring and that in April of 2018, she also discovered the flooring's color variations, wood filler and finishing was defective. Brasil alleges the defendants failed to offer a remedy to fix the defective flooring.

Brasil seeks monetary relief, trial by jury and all other just relief.
