SHERMAN — The former director of sales for Stryve Foods is seeking $1.5 million in a suit alleging the company failed to compensate him per an employment agreement.

Matt Sheriff filed a complaint April 13 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Stryve Foods LLC alleging breach of contract and fraud.

Sheriff entered into an employment agreement on June 15, 2018, to serve as the company's director of sales which outlined the compensation Sheriff would receive including commissions totaling $55,000, bonuses and equity in the company.
