HOUSTON — The owners of more than 100 car washes in Texas and other states are facing a sexual harassment and discrimination claim by a former female employee.

Rebekah Sherrill filed a complaint April 24 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against S&D Carwash Management LLC doing business as Quick Quack Car Wash and others alleging violation of the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act and other cliams.

Sherrill began working for Quick Quack as a regional project coordinator in Houston in September of 2017. She alleges that she faced repeated, unwanted sexual advances from her direct supervisor. She also claims the office atmosphere included "lewd jokes, foul language and sexually charged discussions" by male employees. Sherrill claims in February of 2018, her job duties were given to a male employee and that in April of 2018 was fired for reporting the sexual harassment and discrimination.

Sherrill seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other proper relief. She is represented by Santo Vargas, Karissa Gonzalez and Landon Hankins of Davis & Santos PC in San Antonio.
