GALVESTON — A Galveston-based oil and gas inspection services company is facing a class action alleging it failed to pay employees for overtime.
Chelsea Dogie, individually and for others similarly situated, filed a complaint June 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas Galveston Division against JAB Inspection Services LP alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.
Dogie worked as an office manager for JAB from March 2017 through January 2018 at its New Stanton and Washington Pennsylvania locations. She alleges in her suit she was paid a "flat daily rate" no matter how many hours she worked per week. Dogie claims she typically worked seven days a week for at least 10 hours a day without overtime compensation. Her complaint alleges JAB "victimized" its employees and violated federal and state law by not paying its office manager for overtime compensation.
Dogie seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other appropriate relief. She is represented by Michael Josephson, Andrew Dunlap and Taylor Jones of Josephson Dunlap in Houston and Richard Burch of Bruckner Burch PLLC in Houston.
