GREENBERG TRAURIG LLP: 3 Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Honored as “On The Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers” by the ABA

Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on June 18.

Adelaida Vasquez Mihu, Vishesh Narayen, and Erica Okerberg of Greenberg Traurig, LLP are 2020 honorees for the American Bar Association’s (ABA) “On The Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers.” According to the ABA, the On The Rise award series recognizes “young lawyer members who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal and community service.”

Mihu, a shareholder in the Houston office, focuses her practice on international compliance matters and counsels companies doing business in international markets, including advising on a host of compliance and transactional due diligence issues arising out of various government regulations, including the FCPA and the UK Bribery Act. In addition to analyzing corruption risks in corporate transactions, Mihu assists clients in designing and building anti-corruption programs, assesses existing anti-corruption programs and advises on post-acquisition integration of anti-corruption programs. Mihu is also involved in leadership and diversity initiatives within Greenberg Traurig, serving as Co-Chair of the firm’s Latino Affinity Group, as well as outside the firm, serving as a Latina Commissioner for the Hispanic National Bar Association.

Narayen, of counsel in the firm’s Tampa office, focuses his practice on complex patent and intellectual property litigation, including data privacy and cybersecurity litigation, trade secret and licensing disputes, and litigation involving cutting-edge technology. He has represented clients in high-stakes complex patent infringement litigation involving a variety of technologies and industries in forums across the United States, including in federal district court, post-grant proceedings such as inter partes and covered business method reviews before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission.

Okerberg, an associate in the Las Vegas office, focuses her practice on gaming law, including licensing and regulatory work; and promotional law, including sweepstakes and social gaming. Her experience includes: assisting U.S. and international clients with regulatory and operational matters; representing clients in connection with gaming applications; researching and analyzing a variety of gaming-related topics – from state and federal sports wagering requirements to the application of anti-gambling laws; preparing materials for and assisting with sweepstakes, contests, and other promotional offers; and counseling clients regarding social gaming and skill games. Outside of her practice, among other things, Okerberg is on the Executive Committee of the Gaming Law Section of the Nevada Bar, serves as co-editor of the Nevada Gaming Lawyer, and is the editor of the GLS eNewsletter.
