Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has selected Houston shareholder Jennifer Tomsen as one of its 2020 Pro Bono Shareholders of the Year. Additionally, professional staff member Miriam Rueda was a recipient of the Pro Bono Staff Members of the Year Award.
These accolades are part of the law firm’s Pro Bono Awards, recognizing the attorneys and staff who put in countless hours supporting the community. The awards were shared internally in November.
“It’s an honor to be among those recognized by Greenberg Traurig for their pro bono work,” said Tomsen. “I believe it's so important to help others, especially now when the need is so great. I’d also like to give a special thank you to my team, clients, and the firm for their support.”
“I truly value being part of a company that encourages pro bono work and am humbled to be named one of Greenberg Traurig’s Pro Bono Staff Members of the Year. I look forward to continuing my efforts in 2021,” said Rueda.
“We are immensely proud of Jennifer and Miriam,” said Shari L. Heyen and Kent Newsome, co-managing shareholders of the Houston office. “This well-earned recognition is a reflection of the many hours of work that they have put into helping others in the community. Their passion and dedication to pro bono work is admirable and inspiring.”
