Woman sues apartment complex for dog bite that occurred two years ago

HOUSTON – A woman is attempting to hold an apartment complex liable for a dog bite she received on its premises two years ago. 

Seeking up to $100,000 in damages, Minh Ho filed suit against The McCarthy Apartments, along with the dog’s owners, Jeremy Pruitt and Debby Bravo, on Jan. 4 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 30, 2019, was walking in the apartment’s lobby when without warning a canine owned by Pruitt and Bravo “violently jumped on” her and bit her.

She is accusing the defendants of failing to warn her and make the area safe.

Ho is suing for her past and future medical expenses, pain, mental anguish, impairment and lost wages.

She is represented by the Mestemaker, Straub & Zumwalt law firm in Houston.
