CLARK HILL PLC: Clark Hill Promotes 8 Attorneys to Member, 18 Associates to Senior Attorney

Clark Hill PLC issued the following announcement on Jan. 11.

Clark Hill, an international AmLaw 200 ranked law firm, today announced the promotion of eight attorneys to membership in the firm. The new members come from six of the firm’s 25 offices and represent six of Clark Hill’s practice groups.  

“We are very pleased to announce the advancement to firm membership of these eight individuals who have consistently demonstrated deep commitment to outstanding service to our clients and to Clark Hill’s core institutional values,” said Clark Hill’s new CEO, John Hensien. “We know that they will each make valuable contributions as we work together with our clients on our strategic priorities in key markets and industries.” 

Hensien assumed the leadership of Clark Hill as CEO on Jan. 1, 2021, a position held by John Hern for the previous 18 years. Hern and Jeffrey J. Conn, both members of the firm’s Executive Committee, have assumed co-chair roles.

Birmingham

Stephanie M. Anderson is a member of the Litigation practice group, promoted from senior attorney. Her practice is focused on product liability matters, serving as national counsel for companies across industries throughout the U.S. Stephanie has successfully defended clients in products liability matters in a wide variety of industrial and consumer products.

Jonathan M. Martone is a member in the Litigation practice group, promoted from senior attorney. His practice involves a broad range of litigation and transaction-based commercial and personal legal service matters, and he has successfully represented businesses and individuals in all areas of business and commercial litigation.   

Detroit

Steven R. Pacynski is a member in the Corporate Law practice group, promoted from senior attorney. His practice is focused on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, general business and commercial matters, and tax-exempt organizations. Steve regularly assists clients in connection with formation, merger, acquisition, and dissolution of foreign and domestic corporations and limited liability companies.

Kevin M. Washburn is a member of the Real Estate practice group, promoted from senior attorney. Kevin’s practice involves representation of buyers, sellers, developers, investors, and lenders in a variety of sophisticated transactions. He has served as lead counsel on multiple acquisitions, dispositions, and rehab/restoration and development projects in downtown Detroit, throughout Michigan, and across the U.S.

Lansing

Joseph W. Colaianne is a member in the Education & Municipal practice group, promoted from senior counsel. Joe’s practice is focused on municipal and public sector law and he has extensive experience with public works projects. Prior to joining the firm, Joe served as corporation counsel for the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority, and as counsel and insurance administrator for the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner.

New Jersey

Vanessa M. Kelly is a member of the Labor & Employment practice group, promoted from senior counsel. She represents employers in providing risk assessment and risk avoidance in employee terminations, accommodating disabilities, addressing workplace misconduct, protecting key personnel and proprietary information, performing reductions in force, and implementation of workplace policies designed to avoid disputes and comply with state and federal law.

Texas

Collin County

Phil Pemberton is a member in the Fidelity, Surety & Coverage practice group, promoted from senior attorney. Phil works with surety companies to develop comprehensive strategies to resolve difficult problems arising from surety contracts and bonds. His work includes not only investigating and resolving surety claims, but also representing the surety in subrogation and indemnification.

San Antonio

Joseph Struble is a member in the Corporate Law practice group, promoted from senior attorney. His practice is focused on business planning and M&A transactions. He assists clients in finding solutions to achieve their goals and plan for the life cycle of their business. Joe also provides private client services to successful entrepreneurs and their families.

Promoted to Senior Attorney

In addition, 18 associates were promoted to senior attorney across 13 U.S. offices and nine practice areas.

Clark Hill's 18 new senior attorneys include Robert Dare in the Labor & Employment practice and Benjamin Shipper in Litigation, both in Detroit; Emory Allen in Fidelity & Surety and Honey Gandhi in Real Estate, both in Collin County; Brooks Caston in Tax & Estates and Elizabeth Griffin in Litigation, both in Dallas.

Other new senior attorneys include Lauren Burton in Education & Municipal and Mallory Kallabat in Tax & Estates, both in Birmingham, MI; Adam Diamond and Louis Williams, both in Litigation in Houston; Nicholas Arcamone in Litigation in San Diego; Christina Barringer in Banking & Financial Services in Pittsburgh; and Kimberly Ford in Tax & Estates in San Antonio. 

Rounding out the new 2021 senior attorney group are Tiffany Hunter in Litigation in Los Angeles; Kevin Levine in Labor & Employment in Philadelphia; David Perl in Real Estate in San Francisco; Zara Torosyan in Construction in Phoenix; and Robert Stern in Cybersecurity in Chicago. 

In the Dublin office, Conal O’Doherty in Bankruptcy was promoted to associate solicitor, and Ray Kelliher, also in Bankruptcy, was promoted to senior associate solicitor.
