HOUSTON — A washateria in Houston is facing a suit after a man claims he slipped on a substance while entering the premises and suffered injuries.

John Lockett filed a complaint March 3 in Harris County District Court against Griggs Washateria LLC alleging negligence.

According to Lockett's complaint, he was at the Griggs Washateria on Griggs Road in Houston on Feb. 8, 2021. He alleges that while walking into the store, he slipped and fell on a "slick substance" that was on the floor and suffered "severe and permanent" injuries.
