HOUSTON — A University of Texas MD Anderson student and medical researcher is claiming a jealous co-worker and the university conspired against him to fabricate sexual harassment allegations.

John Doe filed a complaint Feb. 28 in Harris County District Court against The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, The University of Texas at Houston Police Department and others alleging violation of the Fourth, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution and other claims.

According to his complaint, Doe began medical school at UTHealth McGovern Medical School in August of 2015, and was accepted to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and also worked as a medical research fellow in cancer research. He alleges that on Nov. 15, 2018, a fellow researcher working in the DePinho Lab at MDA made false allegations against him for sexual harassment and stalking as well as filed false criminal charges against him.

Doe claims the defendant's false allegations  were a "conspiracy" and caused him and his pregnant wife to have to vacate the university housing as well as derailed his medical studies and research work. He further claims the defendants used "gender-biased systems of investigations and disciplinary actions" against him.

Doe seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Eddie Krenek and Tricia Krenek of The Krenek Law Offices PLLC in Katy.
