AUSTIN - The national litigation boutique Lehotsky Keller today opened a new office in Austin and announced the addition of two new partners.

Lehotsky Keller officially launched on Feb. 1. The firm assists clients with challenges to federal, state and local regulations, as well as defending their client’s interests in federal and state courts throughout the nation, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

According to a press release, Jonathan Urick joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office after working as senior litigation counsel for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce since 2018.

Urick has extensive experience representing businesses in federal and state courts throughout the nation, and he previously practiced law at McGuireWoods. Urick clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas, Sixth Circuit Judge Jeffrey Sutton, and then-Eastern District of Kentucky Judge Amul Thapar.

Todd Disher joined the firm’s Austin office after serving as deputy chief of the special litigation unit at the Texas Attorney General’s Office for nearly five years.

Disher has led dozens of high-stakes lawsuits through federal and state trial courts, including successful challenges to government regulations and defending redistricting maps.

“We are thrilled to expand our firm to Texas, which is a key area for both business growth and litigation for our clients,” founding partner Steve Lehotsky said. “Scott Keller is about to argue—on behalf of our client the U.S. Chamber of Commerce—his 12th case in the Texas Supreme Court later this week. That just adds to his ‘triple-double’ of at least 10 oral arguments in each of the U.S. Supreme Court, Texas Supreme Court, and Fifth Circuit.”

“Jonathan Urick and Todd Disher are fantastic lawyers,” founding partner Scott Keller added. “Their deep experience with complex business disputes and challenges to government regulation is a perfect fit for our firm’s growing national presence.”
