HOUSTON — A woman claims she slipped and fell on a "pink substance" at a South Texas Mi Tienda grocery and suffered injuries.

Margarita Balli Olvera filed a complaint April 20 in Harris County District Court against Mi Tienda H-E-B LP alleging negligence.

According to her suit, Olvera was shopping for avocados at the Mi Tienda on Spencer Highway in South Texas when she slipped and fell on a "pink substance" that was on the floor. She alleges Mi Tienda is negligent for failing to warn customers of the dangerous condition, failing to properly train and supervise its employees in "safety maintenance" and failed to ensure or enforce "proper safety rules and regulations.

Olvera claims there was "no cone or notice indicating that there was a pink substance on the floor" and created a dangerous condition on its premises.

Olvera seeks monetary relief of a maximum of $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Jubaile Abila of The Dunk Law Firm PLLCC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
