Woman claims H-E-B Grocery's negligence after slip, fall

HOUSTON — A woman is suing H-E-B Grocery after falling at its Harris County store and suffering injuries. 

Alicia Paulin filed a complaint May 11 in Harris County District Court against H-E-B Grocery Company LP alleging negligence. 

According to Paulin's complaint, she was at the H-E-B Grocery in Harris County on Sept. 20, 2020. She alleges that she slipped and fell while on the defendant's premises and suffered injuries. 

Paulin claims the defendant's negligence for failing to maintain a safe property including making sure the floor was safe to prevent slips and falls. She also claims the defendant failed to inspect the premises or warn the public of any "unreasonably dangerous condition." 

Paulin seeks monetary relief of less than $250,000, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Randall Novak of The R.L. Novak Law Firm in Houston.
