HOUSTON — A man who claims he left a Houston bar intoxicated and was then struck by a drunk driver is claiming negligence.

Christian Garcia filed a complaint July 2 in Harris County District Court against Bombshells Restaurant and Bar and Jonathan Robledo alleging Dram Shop violations.

Garcia was at the Bombshells Bar and Restaurant on Gulf Freeway in Houston on June 14, 2021, according to his suit. He alleges that while at Bombshells, he continued to be served alcohol even though he was "obviously intoxicated." Garcia claims that Bombshell employees watched him leave the bar and that he was then struck by two different vehicles, with one of those vehicles being driven by Robledo who was also intoxicated.

He alleges as a result of the incident, he suffered permanent "bodily impairment and disability," mental anguish, lost wages as well as incurred medical treatment expenses. Garcia alleges Bombshells negligently continued to serve him alcohol and that Robledo was negligent for driving while drunk and for failing to control his vehicle.

Garcia seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and all other just relief. He is represented by Muhammad Aziz of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner in Houston and Shane Pellerin of The Shane Pellerin Law Firm PC in Pasadena.
