Woman slips and falls at Houston Shell station, sues for more than $1M in damages

HOUSTON — A woman claims she suffered substantial injuries after a fall at Houston Shell gas station. 

Dianne Brown filed a complaint July 16 in Harris County District Court against Fry Business Inc., alleging negligence. 

Brown was at the defendant's Shell gas station on Blackhawk Boulevard in Houston on Jan. 26, 2021, according to her complaint. She alleges that she due to the defendant's failure to keep its premises in a reasonably safe condition, that she slipped and fell and suffered "signifiant injuries." 

Brown claims as a result of her injuries, she incurred medical expenses and the aggravation of prior injuries, loss of earnings, mental anguish, property damage, storage, towing and rental expenses. She further claims the defendant failed to "cure a known danger" or warn of the hazard in "negligent disregard of the rights and safety" of her and other customers. 

Brown seeks moentary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Kevin Gracey of The Slocumb Law Firm PLLC in Dallas.
