HOUSTON — Two consumers allege they were fraudulently sold membership entertainment packages by Five Central.

Jeremy Fontenot and George Dozier filed a complaint Aug. 17 in Harris County District Court against Five Central Plaza LLC and Five Central LLC alleging violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act and other claims.

According to their complaint, Fontenot and Dozier purchased a membership package from the defendants for access to entertainment event venues, restaurants, lounges and clubs. They claim the defendants promised the cost of the membership would be an initial deposit that would allow Five Central to annually reimburse them "not less than 20% of each of their deposits. The plaintiffs allege that Five Central has failed to "make good on their end of the bargain" despite their business growth.

The plaintiffs further claim that Five Central has made false and misleading statements in advertising their goods and services and that they have suffered economic damage by the defendant's fraudulent actions.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of between $200,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by Attorney Bryan Davis in Houston.
