HOUSTON — A nail spa in Humble is facing a suit after a patron slipped on a liquid substance and suffered debilitating injuries.

Erin Allen filed a complaint Sept. 27 in Harris County District Court against UNIQTV alleging negligence.

Allen alleges in her complaint that she was at the defendant's G&G Nails Spa in Humble on May 17, 2020. She claims that as she was walking, she slipped and fell on a "liquid substance" on the floor and suffered severe and debilitating injuries.

Allen alleges the defendant's negligence for failing to prevent liquid substances into the spa premises, failing to have a non-slip floor surface, failing to maintain and inspect its premises and clean the area in a prudent manner.

She also alleges the defendants did not properly train their employees to clean the dangerous condition or warn of the hazard. Allen claims as a result of her slip and fall, she suffered disfigurement, impairment and incurred medical treatment expenses.

Allen seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all just relief. She is represented by Taylor Franks, Matthew Stano and Jason Brooks of The Stano Laws Firm in Humble.
