HOUSTON — A home restoration and remodel company worker alleges a sheet of tile placed on a counter above his head caused him to suffer injuries.

Louis Benjamin Galynksy filed a complaint Oct. 19 in Harris County District Court against PLM Remodel and Restoration alleging negligence.

According to his complaint, Galynksy was working for PLM Remodel on Aug. 12, 2021. He claims that as he was helping a customer pick out tile, he stood up and hit his head on a sheet of tile that had been placed on a counter over his head.

Galynksy alleges he suffered serious injuries including impairment, disfigurement, lost wages and mental anguish. He claims PLM was negligent for failing to provide an adequately safe work environment and was negligent in its hiring, training and supervision of its employees and subcontractors.

Galynksy seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Benjamin Fairleigh of The Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
