HOUSTON — An electrical contractor who fell three stories at a construction site in Houston is claiming his employer's and the site owner's negligence.

Gregory Lancaster filed a complaint Nov. 19 in Harris County District Court against DPR Construction Inc., and The Men's Center Incorporated alleging negligence.

According to his complaint, Lancaster was working for DCS Fire on March 20, 2020, and installing an electrical system at a construction site on Main Street in Houston owned by The Men's Center. He alleges that he fell three stories while climbing a ladder to the roof and suffered catastrophic injuries.

Lancaster claims that the defendants failed to deploy guards and warnings in the area where he fell in violation of OSHA regulations and claims their negligence for failing to perform construction operations in a safe manner. He also claims the defendants failed to have proper and safe equipment, created unreasonably dangerous conditions and also failed to maintain, follow or enforce safety procedures. Lancaster alleges that he suffered impairment, disfigurement, lost wages and incurred medical expenses as a result of his fall.

Lancaster seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Ryan Zehl and Zachary McFarlane of Zehl & Associates PC in Houston.
