HOUSTON — A woman alleges she fell into a deep pothole outside a Houston lounge club and suffered injuries.

Brittney Donaldson filed a complaint Dec. 1 in Harris County District Court against CTKARA Group LLC and NNK Investment LP alleging negligence.

Donaldson, according to her complaint, was at the defendant's Cloud 9, No Stress on Harwin Drive in Houston on Oct. 16, 2021, to pick up dinner. She alleges that she stepped on what looked like a puddle of water that was actually a "very deep pothole" and suffered serious injuries.

Donaldson claims the defendants' negligence for failing to repair the pothole or place a barrier in front to keep patrons from stepping into the dangerous condition. She also claims the defendants failed to warn of the dangerous condition or properly train and supervise its employees.

Donaldson states in her suit that as a result of her fall, she suffered impairment, loss of earning capacity and incurred medical expenses.

Donaldson seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Eric Firouzbakht of The Firouzbakth Law Firm in Houston.
