HOUSTON — A man claims he slipped on a wet surface at the Baybook Mall in Friendswood and suffered serious injuries.

William P. Posey, III and Marcia Posey filed a complaint Dec. 9 in Harris County Disrict Court against Baybrook Mall LLC and Millard Mall Services Inc., alleging negligence.

Posey alleges in his complaint that while at the Baybrook Mall in Friendswood on Jan. 22, 2020, he stepped onto a "wet and dangerous surface" which caused him to slip and fall. He claims that as a result of the fall, he suffered disabling and permanent injuries and alleges the defendant's negligence for not properly maintaining the walkway.

Posey also alleges the defendants failed to inspect the walkway for any slipping/tripping hazard and failed to clean the slippery substance which was spread out over the walkway. He claims the defendants were also negligent for failing to warn of the hazard and that he also suffered lost wages and incurred expenses for medical, hospital and medications.

Posey seeks monetary relief, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Jeffrey Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
