HOUSTON — A woman alleges she slipped on a puddle of water near the checkout lane at a Houston convenience store and suffered injuries.

Keaira Noel filed a compliant Jan. 19 in Harris County Disrict Court against RPSS Enterprises LLC doing business as Best Handi Stop 108.

According to Noel 's complaint, she was at the Handi Stop on Collingsworth Street in Houston on Jan. 30, 2020.  She claims she slipped and fell on a puddle of water near the check out lane that she alleges was "in plain site" of one of the Handi Stop employees.

Noel further claims Handi Stop failed to inspect its premises, warn of the dangerous condition or clear their premises of the hazard. She alleges that as a result of her slip and fall, she suffered lost earnings, physical pain, mental anguish, disfigurement and impairment as well as incurred medical treatment expenses.

Noel also alleges the defendant knew or reasonably should have known about the dangerous condition and did not take ordinary care to ensure their premises was safe.

Noel seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Hector Ruiz of The Law Office of Hector F. Ruiz in Houston.
