Man claims water on floor in lobby of Houston Scottish Inn & Suites caused his fall

HOUSTON — A guest at a Scottish Inns & Suites in Houston alleges he suffered injuries after slipping on a wet floor in the hotel lobby. 

Julius Johnson filed a complaint Jan. 27 in Harris County District Court against A & J Hospitality Group LLC alleging negligence. 

Johnson was a guest at the Scottish Inns & Suites on Antoine Drive in Houston on Jan. 10, 2021, according to his complaint. He alleges that when he was walking into the lobby, he slipped on a wet floor and struck his body. 

Johnson alleges as a result of his slip and fall, he suffered pain, mental anguish, loss of income and incurred medical expenses. He also alleges the defendant had knowledge of and allowed the unreasonably dangerous condition and failed to correct it or warn of the hazard. 

Johnson seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Donald DeSimone of The DeSimone Law Office in Houston.
