Since 2020, Butler Snow attorney Tom Forbes has served as a Commissioner of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization’s Legislative and Campaign Law Exam Commission. The Commissioners are appointed by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. They are responsible for writing and grading the Legislative and Campaign Law Specialization Exam for Texas lawyers. The certification for this specialty was launched in 2020. Texas is the first state to establish a specialty certification in Legislative and Campaign Law.
The Texas Board of Legal Specialization was created by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1974 and offers 25 areas of specialization to licensed attorneys in the state. Click here to learn more.
