HOUSTON — A woman alleges a contractor she paid in advanced to perform upgrades on a home she ended up not purchasing refuses to return her money.

Gloria Sanchez filed a complaint Feb. 12 in Harris County District Court against Integrity Housing Solution LLC and Bernabe Saldana, Jr.

Sanchez, according to her complaint, on Jan. 11 made a $20,000 credit card payment and an additional $10,000 to the defendants to perform upgrades on a home that she was negotiating to purchase. She alleges that the house purchase fell through and that she asked the defendants for a "return of her money save $1,500 for the time of business."

Sanchez further alleges the defendants refused to refund her money and sought to charge her $10,000 for "merely holding her money." She also alleges the $30,000 charged to her card was returned but that the defendants have failed to return the full $40,000 to her which has caused her financial harm.

Sanchez seeks monetary relief between $257,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Craig Kyle Hemphill of CKH Legal in Houston.
