Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Leticia (Letty) P. Aguilar to its San Antonio office as Shareholder. Letty joins Ogletree Deakins from Thompson Coe, where she was a Partner.
Letty has a decade of experience practicing law, representing employers against charges of discrimination and retaliation and conducting extensive workplace investigations related to such claims. She provides daily advice to employers regarding complex human resources issues including compliance, internal procedures, employee training, and workplace investigations. She regularly counsels employers in a myriad other employment law matters, including reviewing and drafting employment agreements, executive agreements, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, employee handbooks, and corporate policies.
Letty is focused on premier client service and strategically approaches litigation by providing an aggressive defense in a cost-effective manner. Letty defends employers in matters related to state and federal statutes, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Texas Labor Code. She also regularly represents employers before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), and Department of Labor (DOL).

Letty was born and raised in San Antonio and is a proud and active member of the community. She is a member of the Texas, Austin, and San Antonio Bar Associations and a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. She frequently speaks on employment law topics relating to harassment and discrimination and provides Equal Employment Opportunity training to management and employees. Letty earned her J.D. from the South Texas School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
