Houston Associate Aaron E. Koenck recently authored an ESG-related chapter of the third edition of Oil & Gas Contracts Principles and Practice, a handbook covering petroleum industry contract laws.
Mr. Koenck wrote Chapter 21 of the book, titled “Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Provisions.” Edited by leading oil and gas lawyer Peter Roberts and written by a team of expert contributors from the O&G sector, this book covers petroleum contract laws in various jurisdictions across the globe. This new edition of the book includes Mr. Koenck’s chapter on the three prongs of ESG, the effective implementation of an ESG program in an oil and gas company, and the challenges in reconciling ESG requirements with regulatory and contractual arrangements.
