Worker alleges he was fired for filing Workers Compensation claim

HOUSTON — A worker alleges he was fired in retaliation for filing a Workers Compensation claim. 

Cristian Castellanos filed a complaint June 7 in Harris County District Court against Four Two Services LLC alleging Workers Compensation retaliation. 

Castellanos alleges in his complaint that he suffered an on the job injury that required medical attention while working for the defendants on June 18, 2021. He claims that on June 28, 2021, he was terminated in retaliation for filing a Workers Compensation claim. 

Castellanos alleges the defendant violated the Texas Labor Code by terminated him and as a result, he suffered lost earnings and employee benefits as well as mental anguish and other damages. He further alleges that he notified the defendant of his injury and initiated the Workers Compensation claim in good faith and that his termination was motivated by retaliatory intent. 

Castellanos seeks monetary relief of more than $250,000, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Javier Espinoza and Steven Sachs of The Espinoza Law Firm PLLC in San Antonio.
