GALVESTON — A roofing company alleges a homeowner has refused to pay them the more than $32,000 they are owed for a roofing job.

Tile Roofs of Texas Inc., filed a complaint July 6 in Galveston County 212th District Court against April Didrikson alleging breach of contact and other claims.

According to Tile Roofs of Texas' complaint, the company's president, Robert Coreale, sent a written proposal to Didrikson for roofing work on her home in Corrigan in April of 2021. The plaintiff alleges that Didrikson did not accept the offer at the time but then revived the proposal in April of 2022, which is when they began work on Didrikson's roof. Tile Roofs alleges that between January and April of 2022, they "substantially or completely" peformed the work on Didrikson's house.

They claim Didrikson has refused the outstanding balance of $32,600 for the work and is in breach of their contract. The plaintiffs claim Didrikson accepted the services and materials provided by them and her refusal to pay has resulted in economic damages.

Tile Roofs seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by P. Kevin Leyendecker and Thomas Frashier of Ahmad, Zavitasnaos & Mensing PC in Houston.
