HOUSTON — A Houston demolition company is facing a breach of contract claim after allegedly defaulting on a more than $100,000 loan.

Hector Garcia filed a complaint July 23 in Harris County District Court against Blackwater Demolition LLC, Pedro Medina and James Young alleging breach of contract.

Garcia, according to his suit, entered into a promissory note with the defendants on Dec. 7, 2020, for $118,291. He claims the contract included the defendants to start repaying the loan plus 18 percent interest beginning in January of 2021. Garcia alleges the defendants have failed to make the first payment or any subsequent payments and is now in breach of contract. He further alleges the principal and interest due at the time of his filing the complaint is $173,364.63.

Garcia seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Victoria Plante-Northington of The Plante Law Firm PC in Houston.
