GALVESTON — A piping company alleges it was cheated out of its commission after bringing a buyer and facilitating the sale of an oilfield line pipe.

Prime Pipe LLC filed a complaint July 28 in Galveston County District Court against Asset Redevelopment Solutions LLC alleging breach of contract and other claims.

According to Prime Pipe's complaint, they had a contact who was interested in purchasing a portion of the defendant's oilfield line pipe in August of 2021. They claim that they introduced the defendant to the potential buyer in exchange for the defendant paying them a $200 per ton commission for all pipe sold. Prime further claims that a mutual confidentiality agreement was signed with the defendant to ensure after being introduced to the buyer, the defendants would not go around them and sell directly to the client.

Prime alleges that after being introduced to the buyer, the defendant sold $38,000 worth of pipe to the buyer and then sold a substantial amount of additional pipe to the buyer directly without paying them a commission. Prime claims the defendant breached their agreement by selling additional pipe to their client and refusing to pay the agreed upon $200 per ton commission which has caused them economic damages.

Prime seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Bryon Rice of Hicks Davis Wynn PC in Houston.
