HOUSTON — A sub-contractor is alleging negligence after a torque wrench fell on top of him at a job site in Harris County.

Corey Rapp filed a complaint Aug. 25 in Harris County District Court against Integra Services Technologies Inc., and others alleging negligence.

According to his complaint, Rapp was working for Austin Industrial at a facility in Harris County owned by Lyondellbasell on Dec. 3, 2021. He claims that Integra Services employees were working on a scaffold above him using multiple tools and equipment including a heavy pneumatic torque wrench. Rapp further claims the Integra employees dropped the torque wrench which then struck him and caused him to suffer injuries.

He alleges Integra's gross negligence and claims he also suffered impairment, mental anguish, lost earnings and incurred medical and other health related expenses.

Rapp seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Paul Ferguson of The Ferguson Law Firm LLP in Beaumont and Johnathan Healy of Packard Lapray in Beaumont.
