Holland & Knight Partners Gemma Galeoto, David Lawrence, Elissa McClure, Lee Meyercord and Catherine Rowsey have been recognized among the Best Lawyers Under 40 by D Magazine. The annual listing recognizes outstanding young lawyers in the North Texas area.
Ms. Galeoto is a Dallas trial attorney licensed in four states with more than a decade of experience. She focuses her practice on complex business issues involving myriad sectors, including private equity and investment banking disputes, breach of contract claims, and healthcare and trade secret litigation. Ms. Galeoto has significant courtroom experience as lead counsel in state and federal court, arbitrations, injunctive relief requests and in appellate oral argument. The is the sixth consecutive year Ms. Galeoto has been selected for this honor by D Magazine.
Mr. Lawrence focuses his practice on commercial real estate development and finance matters. He represents both lenders and borrowers in a variety of loan origination transactions for interim, construction and permanent financing, and in connection with working out existing loans. This is the fifth consecutive year Mr. Lawrence has been selected for this honor by D Magazine.
Ms. McClure focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and corporate investigations. She advises clients, including Fortune 500 companies and individual executives, in all stages of disputes, from pre-litigation strategy through trial and appeal. Ms. McClure has extensive experience advising clients in connection with the False Claims Act (FCA) and the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), as well as government and corporate investigations involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), consumer protection, healthcare enforcement, trade secret misappropriation, discrimination, whistleblower, regulatory, accounting and securities fraud matters. Last year, Ms. McClure was recognized among the Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine.
Ms. Meyercord is a tax attorney who represents taxpayers in all stages of a federal tax dispute, including audits, administrative appeals and federal income tax litigation. She has represented a broad range of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, large partnerships, closely held businesses, exempt organizations and high-net-worth individuals. She has significant experience in partnership tax issues relating to energy, real estate and private equity. She also represents taxpayers in Texas property tax disputes. This is the fourth consecutive year, and fifth overall, that Ms. Meyercord has been selected for this honor by D Magazine.
Ms. Rowsey focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, government investigations and enforcement actions, and corporate governance and internal investigations. She has represented clients in multiple industries, including energy and healthcare, in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including substantial experience in cases involving fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate governance, breach of contract, antitrust, misappropriation of trade secrets, and trust and estate disputes. This is the second consecutive year, and third overall, that Ms. Rowsey has been selected for this honor by D Magazine.
