HOUSTON — A Stafford-based sports management company is facing a suit alleging the company is in default of an $50,000 loan.
Yun Kai Lin filed a complaint Jan. 9 in Harris County District Court against CYA Sports Management LLC.
According to the plaintiff's complaint, Lin gave a "short-term" loan to CYA. and its agent/officer for $50,000 with an 18% interest rate. Kai claims the loan was to be paid back within 20 days and that CYA has failed to pay back the loan within the agreed upon time frame.
He further claims the loan deadline was extended and that one $25,000 check CYA wrote to the defendant was returned by the bank and marked "non sufficient funds." Yai alleges in addition to the CYA's check bouncing, CYA failed to include any interest in its payments. He claims CYA is now in default of the loan.
Kai seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Alfred Valdez of Lin & Valdez LLP in Houston.
