GALVESTON — An elderly League City man alleges a couple exploited him and threatened his life.

Paul Colyer filed a complaint Jan. 17 in Galveston County District Court against Sarah Haynes and Raymond Trey Haynes alleging breach of contract, exploitation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to Colyer's complaint, the defendant Sarah Haynes breached their contract by failing to perform the services required. He claims Raymond Haynes threatened to set his bed on fire with him in it which caused him to fear for his life. Colyer, who is 80 years old, further claims Haynes harassed and bullied him and that Sarah Haynes intentionally allowed her husband, Raymond Haynes to act in a threatening manner. Specifically, Colyer claims the defendants used his home for personal gain, profit and taking money from him all while using abusive and threatening tactics.

Colyer seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Cris Rasco of the Rasco Law Firm in Houston.
