Dow Chemical alleges $6,000 loan default

GALVESTON — Dow Chemical is seeking repayment of more than $6,000 due to a defaulted loan. 

Dow Chemical Company filed a complaint Jan. 17 in Galveston County District Court against Luis Reyes alleging breach of contract and other claims. 

According to Dow Chemical's complaint, they entered into a loan contract with Reyes and provided $6,086.80 to Reyes which he has failed to repay. They claim Reyes is in breach of the contract amount plus interest and that he has been unjustly enriched at their detriment. 

Dow further claims it peformed all of the conditions under the terms of the contact and that Reyes also is in breach of implied contract by failing to pay the sum owed as well as the accrued interest. 

Dow seeks more than $50,000, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by William Boyd and S. Scott Boyd of Patterson, Boyd & Lowery PC in Houston.
