GALVESTON — A Galveston County property owner alleges a contractor took his down payment and then increased the cost of the project by more than $100,000.
George Flores filed a complaint Jan. 24 in Galveston County District Court against Full Armor Build By Design LLC alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
According to Flores complaint, he entered into a contract in June of 2022, with Full Armor to build a nine foot fence on his property for a cost of $17,007.48. He claims he made a down payment of $13,605.98 and that Full Armor directed him to an engineering firm to draw up plans for the fence. Flores alleges that after consulting with the engineering firm, Full Armor presented a new quote for the project for $191,095.37 which he declined due to the excessive price increase.
He further alleges he has requested a deposit refund from Full Armor, however they have refused to refund his money and have stopped communications with him. Flores claims Full Armor breached the contract by failing to peform under the agreement and by increasing the project costs by more than tenfold.
Flores seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Bradford Irelan of Ireland McDaniel PLLC in Houston.
