Senior apartment community resident claims dangerous stairs caused her fall

HOUSTON — A woman claims dangerous stairs caused her fall at a senior apartment community in Houston.  

Donnie Williams filed a complaint Feb. 8 in Harris County District Court against Chelsea Senior I LLC doing business as Chelsea Seniors and others alleging negligence. 

Williams, according to her complaint was at the defendants' premises on Little York Road in Houston on Feb. 21, 2022. She claims she was walking on the premises, when she suddenly and unexpectedly tripped and fell down. Williams alleges the defendants' negligence for allowing the dangerous stairs to exist and for failing to warn of the hazard. 

She further alleges the defendants had knowledge that the stairs posed an unreasonable risk of harm. She claims as a result of her fall, she suffered pain, mental anguish, impairment and lost wages. Williams also claims she has incurred medical, hospital and drug services costs as a result of her injuries. 

Williams seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Jeffrey Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
