Property owner alleges contractor failed to obtain required permits

GALVESTON — A construction company is facing a breach of contract claim after allegedly failing to obtain required building permits for a property in Texas City. 

Valhalla Property Investors LLC filed a complaint March 23 in Galveston County District Court against All Pro American Construction LLC alleging breach of contract. 

Valhalla, according to their complaint, hired All Pro for work on a property on Rust Avenue in Texas City. They claim the cost was an approximate price of $90,000 with the work to be completed in six to eight weeks. The plaintiffs claim All Pro failed to obtain the required building permits, allowed the roof to remain uncovered which caused damage and destruction to the property. 

Valhalla alleges All Pro violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act by engaging in false and misleading practices. They also allege All Pro breached their contract by failing to obtain the permits and halting the project as. well as caused property damage. 

Valhalla seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Douglas McAninch of Douglas A. McAninch PC in Friendswood.
