GALVESTON — An interior decorator alleges a couple owes her more than $28,000 for an interior design project on their home in Friendswood.

Smith McCrory Interiors filed a complaint March 20 in Galveston County District Court against Erika Manchaca and Troy Manchaca alleging breach of contract and other claims.

McCrory alleges in her complaint that she was hired by the defendants in 2022, for interior design services and materials at their home on Cowards Creek in Friendswood. She claims that she provided interior design services for numerous rooms on the property and that the defendants approved of all aspects of the designs including rug choice, wallpaper and upholstery fabric.

McCrory alleges she is owed $28,966.65 for the work which the defendants have failed to pay. She further alleges the defendants have breached their "enforceable oral contract" by not paying her for her services in a timely manner.

McCrory seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by A.G. Crouch of The Crouch Law Firm in Alvin.
