HOUSTON — A Marriott guest alleges the bathtub in her hotel room did not have an adequate slip resistant surface which caused her slip and fall.

Rosemary Dolinger filed a complaint March 29 in Harris County District Court against Marriott International Inc., Marriott Hotel Services Inc., and Houston Convention Center Hotels LLC alleging negligence.

Dolinger alleges in her complaint that while a guest at the defendants' hotel in Houston on July 7, 2021, she suffered severe injuries after slipping and falling in the bathtub. She claims there were no handrails installed in the shower/tub area and that the defendants knew or should have known that the bathtub would be slippery and create a risk of harm.

Dolinger also claims the defendants were negligent for failing to warn her of the danger or provide an anti-slip mat due to the tub not having an adequate slip resistant surface. She alleges as a result of her fall, she suffered pain, disfigurement, impairment, lost earnings and incurred medical expenses.

Dolinger seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Adam Rosenfeld of Schechter, Shaffer & Harris LLP in Houston.
