HOUSTON — A Conroe woman alleges she slipped at a Murphy Store due to a malfunctioning gas pump and suffered severe injuries.
Karin Walkowiak filed a complaint March 29 in Harris County District Court against Helmsman Management Services LLC and Murphy USA Inc., alleging premises liability and negligence.
Walkowiak, according to her complaint, was a customer at a Murphy Store on March 29, 2021. She alleges that she tripped when the gas pump malfunctioned which caused her to suffer severe injuries.
Walkowiak claims the defendants failed to maintain their location, failed to warn of the malfunctioning equipment and failed in their duty to alleviate the slippery material on their premises which created a dangerous condition. She also claims that as a result of her slip and fall, she suffered pain, mental anguish, loss of earnings and incurred medical care expenses.
Walkowiak seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is presented by Sabina Karim of The Law Office of Sabina Karim in Houston.
