HOUSTON — Surgeons at St. Luke's Hospital At The Vintage are facing a suit they caused a hole in a patient's bowel during a procedure which led to her death.

Ron Kendziora, Steve Landers and Paula Landers filed a complaint March 27 in Harris County District Court against MGH Surgical Care PLLC, The Surgicalist Group, Alen Babakhani, MD, Malek Kanama, MD and others alleging negligence.

According to the plaintiffs' complaint, Stephanie Kendziora, who was 44 years old at the time, was admitted to St. Luke's Hospital At The Vintage on September 12, 2021, and was diagnosed with a gastric leak.
