Man alleges he was attacked at beer garden, food truck park

GALVESTON — A man alleges lack of proper security caused him to be assaulted and battered at a beer garden and food truck park in Kemah. 

Thanh Hoang Nguyen filed a complaint March 27 in Galveston County District Court against Michael DeWayne Cameron and We Bash Properties LLC doing business as Bubble Jungle alleging assault and battery, negligence and other claims. 

According to Nguyen's complaint, he was at the Bubble Jungle on Kipp Avenue in Kemah on Oct. 2, 2021. He claims suddenly and without warning, he was assaulted and battered by Cameron and suffered bodily injuries. Nguyen alleges the defendants' negligence for failing to provide security on the premises, failing to security measures to deter criminal activity and failing to have appropriate policies and regulations to protect invitees against unreasonable and foreseeable harm. 

He also alleges the defendants failed to operate and manage its beer garden in safe manner and allowed incompetent and untrained employees to provide security on the premises. Nguyen claims he suffered physical pain, impairment, disfigurement, lost wages and incurred medical expenses. 

Nguyen seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Eric Nielsen and Heriberto Fernandez of The Nielsen Law Firm PC in Houston.
