Customer sues after allegedly slipping on liquid substance at Sam's Club in Houston

HOUSTON — A man alleges he slipped on a liquid on the floor of a Sam's Club in Houston and suffered injuries. 

Hameme Sabbough filed a complaint April 17 in Harris County District Court against Sam's West Inc., doing business as Sam's Club, alleging negligence and premises liability. 

Sabbough, according to his compliant, was at the Sam's Club on S. Rice Avenue in Houston on May 14, 2022. He claims that while at the store, he slipped and fell on "an unknown liquid substance" on the floor and suffered serious injuries. 

Sabbough alleges Sam's negligently created and/or allowed the dangerous condition to exist in the area where he was walking and that they failed to inspect the area to ensure safety. 

He also alleges Sam's was negligent for failing to adequately supervise and train its staff or warn of the unreasonably dangerous condition such as using a wet floor sign. 

Sabbough claims he suffered physical pain and disability, lost earnings and incurred medical expenses as a result of his fall. 

Sabbough seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Tahison Hua of Rejas, Jua & Hoang PLLC in Bellaire.
