HOUSTON — An 82-year old dialysis patient alleges a medical transport company driver failed to provide her with assistance while exiting a vehicle which caused her to fall.
Jocelyn Miller filed a complaint May 23 in Harris County District Court against Good Hands Medical Transportation LLC alleging negligence and other claims.
Miller, an 82-year old dialysis patient, alleges in her complaint that she was being transported by the defendant on Jan. 25, 2023. She claims that the defendant's driver failed to use the ramp on the transport vehicle and instead instructed her to use an "unstable step stool."
She further claims the driver did not provide her assistance as she was attempting to use the step stool and that she fell and suffered injuries. Miller alleges the defendant's negligence for failing to properly handle disabled passengers and for failing to use reasonable prudence. She also alleges she suffered pain, mental anguish and other damages.
Miller seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Brian Beckcom and Brendan Fradkin of VB Attorneys in Houston.
