HOUSTON — A moving company employee claims lack of proper training and safety equipment caused him to suffer serious injuries.

Dexter Stewart filed a complaint May 23 in Harris County District Court against All My Sons Moving & Storage of Houston LLC alleging negligence and other claims.

Stewart, according to his complaint, was working for All My Sons on Oct. 24, 2022, and was moving a large toolbox on a dolly with a co-worker. He claims that as he went to lift the dolly, the toolbox shifted and caused the dolly to strike him in the face and to suffer severe injuries.

Stewart alleges All My Son's negligence for failing to provide proper safety equipment to move heavy objects and for failing to train its employees on how to move heavy objects safely. He also alleges All My Son's negligence for failing to implement safety protocols and that the moving company disregarded the safety of its employees.

Stewart claims as a result of the accident, he suffered impairment, disfigurement, lost wages and incurred medical expenses.

Stewart seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Kelly Viktorin, Scott Armstrong and Ryan Wager of Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP in Houston.
