HOUSTON — A man alleges a large hole on a concrete walkway at a Houston apartment complex caused his injuries.

Anthony Yaskulka filed a complaint May 16 in Harris County District Court against Myriad Apartments and Abbey Residential Services Inc., alleging negligence.

Yaskulka, according to his complaint, was walking through the defendants' apartment complex in Houston on April 2, 2022. He claims he suddenly stepped into a large hole on the concrete walkway which caused him to suffer injuries to his wrist, hip and hand. Yaskulka alleges the defendants' negligence for failing to properly maintain the premises and failing to warn of the hazard.

He also claims the defendants were negligent for maintaining their premises in a reckless and careless manner. Yaskulka alleges as a result of his fall, he not only suffered physical pain and suffering but also impairment, disfigurement, lost wages and mental anguish.
