GALVESTON — A man alleges he slipped on a puddle of water in the restroom of a movie theater in Galveston.

Lamar Walker filed a complaint June 12 in Galveston County District Court against Primetime Entertainment LLC alleging negligence.

Walker alleges in his complaint that he was at the Galveston Primetime movie theater on Seawall Boulevard on May 27, 2023. He claims that as he entered the restroom and approached one of the urinals, he slipped on a puddle of water and fell backwards onto the hard floor.

Walker alleges he suffered injuries to his back, hip, leg and other parts of his body and that the defendants failed to warn of the dangerous condition. He also alleges the defendant was negligent for failing to maintain its floor and walkways and failed to correct the hazard.

Walker claims as a result of his fall, he suffered impairment, disfigurement, lost earnings and incurred medical expenses.

Walker seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Brad Stauber of The Daspit Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
