Houston woman alleges dog attack while guest at home, seeks up to $1M in damages

GALVESTON — A Houston woman alleges she was attacked by a dog while a guest at a home and suffered severe injuries. 

Brittany Hamberg filed a complaint June 28 in Galveston County District Court against Brian Musgrove alleging negligence. 

Hamberg, according to her complaint, is a Houston resident. She claims she was attacked by Musgrove's dog on Aug. 6, 2022, while she was a guest at his home in Bacliff.  She alleges she suffered severe injuries and lost earnings as a result of the attack and claims Musgrove failed to control his dog. 

Hamberg further alleges Musgrove owed her a legal duty to control the dog and that his negligence resulted in her injuries. 

Hamber seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Jose Orihuela and Paige Brown of Orihuela & Associates PLLC in League City.
